What Is Final Weekend?
In January, successful competitors from the Preliminary Round will travel to the Smith School of Business to compete in I.C.B.C. Final Weekend. The three-day event that provides the competitors with the chance to not only compete in Canada’s premier undergraduate business case competition at one of the world’s top business schools, but to also network with fellow competitors, student volunteers, corporate representatives and judges. Final Weekend features two competition days with three different events running per day. Competing finalists will be given approximately five and a half hours to prepare their presentations (assisted by Microsoft PowerPoint), before delivering them to a panel of judges. In addition to the judges, competitors may present before a greater audience composed of industry leaders, sponsor representatives and other observers. At the conclusion of the weekend and at the traditional I.C.B.C. Final Banquet, the top three teams of each competitive event are announced.
