What is an International Invitation?

The International Invitational is an option for direct entry into I.C.B.C. Final Weekend that is offered to 2 international schools applying from outside of Canada. Introduced in 2012, the International Invitational was created to ensure long-term growth, foster new relationships between all competitors, and provide global business education. The International Invitational selection process is held during the months of May to early August in the year prior to I.C.B.C. Final Weekend, independent of the traditional Preliminary Round. The International Invitational spots are allocated on a rolling basis, and the pool of applicants is evaluated and assessed with a number of criteria, including an institution’s reputation, historical performance at case competitions, and the likelihood of future participation in I.C.B.C. Successful applicants are directly invited to I.C.B.C. Final Weekend, thereby bypassing the Preliminary Round.
